
One of the first steps towards passing your driving test is to pass your theory test. The test is in two parts - first a question part and then a hazard perception part.
The question of the theory test involves 50 multiple choice questions on a touch screen computer. The pass mark in 43 out of 50.
The hazard perception test involves 14 clips of video film. Each lasts 20-30 seconds. Each clip has one identifiable scoring hazard, apart from one clip that has two scoring hazards.
You need to pass both parts at the same time to pass the test. You must pass the test before you can apply for your practical driving test.
